The new Jansen HS-20DS55pro sets new standards in professional wood splitting. Building on the proven success of the HS-20DS63, this double splitter has been purposefully refined – featuring practical upgrades that make operation even more efficient, convenient, and durable.
MAXIMUM POWER WITH 20 TONS OF SPLITTING FORCE.
Driven by a robust 6.5 HP Kohler petrol engine, the Jansen HS-20DS55pro delivers an impressive 20 tons of splitting pressure on the forward stroke and 17 tons on the return stroke – measured directly at the splitting wedge. It easily handles even hard or knotted wood – maintaining consistent power in both directions.
DOUBLE SPLITTING IN BOTH DIRECTIONS – FOR DOUBLE EFFICIENCY.
The dual-splitting mechanism allows continuous operation with no waiting times. The splitting beam works on both the forward and return stroke, making every cycle twice as productive. This means you can split more wood in less time – with an improved work cycle of only about 6 seconds per stroke!

The Jansen HS-20DS55pro not only delivers tremendous power but also thoughtful design. Its compact horizontal construction ensures ergonomic handling and a stable stance. With a total width of only about 110 cm (including the worktable), the splitter is easy to transport – whether on a trailer or maneuvered by drawbar to the work site.
EASY START – EVEN IN COLD WEATHER.
The proven recoil starter ensures reliable starting performance, even at sub-zero temperatures.
ATTENTION:
The Jansen HS-20DS55pro comes pre-assembled in a sturdy wooden crate. A detailed German-language manual is included. For final assembly, you should allow about 5–6 hours. We recommend two people or the use of a lifting aid such as a forklift, front loader, or workshop crane. You will need approx. 9,5 litres of hydraulic oil to make the device ready before use. A hydraulic oil of classification HLP46 would be ideal and is widely available.
