The PTO (power take-off) passes drive from the engine to active attachments: a powered tiller, a rotary mower and other machines that spin off the engine. A tractor without a PTO can only pull passive tools such as a plough. This page collects WEIMA WM1100 two-wheel tractors whose specification lists the gearbox as "4 forward, 2 reverse, PTO", plus bundles with attachments. What the PTO does on a two-wheel tractor
- Powered tiller – loosens and mixes the top layer of soil and removes weeds. It is driven by the PTO, not the wheels.
- Rotary mower – cuts thick grass, herbs and small shrubs. The WEIMA WMKM1100-6 in the bundle cuts shrubs up to 10 mm in diameter.
- Other active tools – the manufacturer also mentions a cultivator and a potato planter.
Passive tools (plough, hiller, potato digger) run off the tractor wheels and do not need a PTO, but with one you have the full choice of implements.

How to pick a tractor for PTO work
Engine power for active tools
A powered tiller and a mower draw power from the engine. At 7–8 hp they cope in a garden, on a lawn and in soft soil. For thick hay grass and heavier ground, 13–16 hp is better. More on power in our guide how to choose a two-wheel tractor.
An active bundle instead of assembling tools piece by piece
The page includes the WM1100FE-6 16KM active bundle: tractor, WMBF-6 powered tiller, WMKM1100-6 rotary mower, metal wheels and hubs. It is the simplest way to start working with the PTO straight away.
Differential

Oil for the attachments
The WMBF-6 powered tiller has its own gearbox. The manufacturer specifies 1.6–1.7 l of SAE 80W-90 gear oil for it, separate from the oil in the tractor.
Frequently asked questions
Does every two-wheel tractor have a PTO?
No. Simpler machines may only drive the wheels. The models on this page have the PTO listed in the gearbox specification.
Why a PTO if I only plough?
A plough does not need it. A PTO is needed for the powered tiller, mower and other engine-driven tools.
Which PTO model for a 1,000 m² plot?
7–8 hp is enough if the soil is light. For heavier ground and a lot of mowing, 13 hp or more.
