A kit is a two-wheel tractor sold together with attachments chosen for it. You do not have to check whether the plough fits the hitch or the wheels fit the shaft, because everything is put together for a specific model. There are two groups: kits with passive attachments (plough, ridger, potato digger, wheels) for potatoes and vegetables, and kits with PTO-driven attachments (mower, tiller, sweeper).
How to choose a kit
- Type of work: ploughing, planting and lifting potatoes call for kits with standard equipment. Mowing meadows, PTO tilling or sweeping a drive call for kits with active equipment.
- Power: 6–8.5 HP for a vegetable garden or a plot of up to roughly 0.15 ha; 9 HP or more for bigger fields, heavier soil and work with a trailer.
- Power take-off: WEIMA active kits are based on the WM900M3, WM1000N-6 and WM1100-6. According to the product pages, the RURIS tractors in the kits have no PTO, so later you can only add passive attachments.
- Gearbox: WEIMA WM1000N-6 and WM1100-6 have 4 forward and 2 reverse gears, the WM900M3 3+1, the WM500 and RURIS tractors 2+1.
- Starting: the WEIMA WM1100FE-6, WM1100BE-6 and RURIS 918ACC have electric start.

Before starting a kit tractor
According to the product pages, most WEIMA kits include an oil funnel, manual, tool set and engine and gear oil. Before the first start, fill the oil in the amounts given in the manual and check the level, then run the first hours without full load. If you already have a tractor, single attachments are in attachments for two-wheel tractors.

Frequently asked questions
Is a kit better value than a tractor and attachments bought separately?
A kit saves time on matching parts, as the attachments are chosen for the model. If you need only one tool, buy the tractor and that tool separately.
Which kit for planting and lifting potatoes?
A standard kit with a ridger and potato digger, for example WEIMA WM500, WM900M3, WM1000N6 or RURIS 7000FR ACC4 and 732ACC.
Can I add a PTO mower to a RURIS kit later?
According to the product pages, the RURIS kit tractors have no PTO. For PTO mowing choose a WEIMA active kit.
What is the difference between the WM1100FE-6 and WM1100BE-6?
The FE-6 has a 16 HP (420 cc) engine, the BE-6 9 HP (418 cc) and a wider working range of up to 1650 mm. Both have 4 forward and 2 reverse gears, a PTO and electric start.
Can I buy other attachments later?
Yes. Check on the tool's product page that it fits your model, e.g. the WMKM1100-6 mowers fit the WM1000N-6 and WM1100-6.
