Jansen – who is the manufacturer
Jansen (JANSEN®) is the brand of the German company Jansen GmbH & Co. KG, based in Emlichheim. The family-run company has been active since 1984 and sells forestry and firewood machinery, garden and farm equipment, as well as construction machines. How to choose a Jansen machine
Log splitter. For fireplace wood, 12–20 tonnes is usually enough. Thick, knotty logs need more force, for example 22–40 tonnes. A vertical splitter takes longer logs (up to 110 cm), a horizontal one is handy for shorter pieces. An electric splitter is quieter next to the house; petrol and PTO models suit forest and field work. More: horizontal or vertical log splitter.
Flail mower. Match it to the carrier: a tractor with PTO and three-point linkage (EFG, EFGC, AGF), an ATV with a mower that has its own engine (AT-120, AT-145), or an excavator with hydraulics (BM-120). Guide: how to choose a flail mower.
Dumper. A smaller tracked model is enough for the garden and building work around the house. For heavier loads look at the RD-500 or RD-600 with hydrostatic drive, and for indoor work at the electric MSK-500.
Delivery in a crate and assembly
Jansen machines arrive in a transport crate, partly disassembled. You complete the final assembly yourself following the manual. Some models are shipped without oil, for example the MGT-600E and MGT-600D tractors. Before the first start, check the oil level and top it up if needed. Plan a place for unloading, as the larger machines are heavy.
