A mower mounted on a two-wheel tractor cuts meadows, pastures and overgrown plots using the engine you already have, so there is no need for a separate machine. This section has WEIMA rotary mowers with two discs and swinging blades, a sickle bar mower for tall grass, and self-propelled Grünwelt and WEIMA flail mulchers with their own engine, which also have their own section in the shop.
How to choose a mower for your tractor
- Tractor model: this matters most, because the mower must match the mount and drive. According to the product pages: WMKM900 fits the WEIMA WM900M-3, WMKM1100N-6/8″ the WM1000N-6, WMKM1100-6/10″ and /12″ the WM1000N-6 and WM1100-6, and the WMSM1100 sickle bar mower the WM1100-6.
- Type of grass: a rotary mower handles dense grass, mixed herbs and small shrubs up to 10 mm thick. A sickle bar mower cuts like scissors and suits haymaking from tall grass.
- Cutting width: 800 mm (WMKM900), 850 mm (WMKM1100) or 105 cm (WMSM1100). A wider mower means fewer passes on a large meadow.
- Output: at a working speed of 2–4 km/h the WEIMA mowers cover about 0.15–0.2 ha per hour, so a 0.5 ha meadow takes roughly 3 hours.
- Cutting height: up to 70 mm. The WMKM900 has a skid for height setting and rests on the ground together with the tractor.

Using a rotary mower
- The blades hang freely on cotter pins and straighten out under centrifugal force. Before work, check that none is stuck or cracked.
- Every 12 hours of work the manufacturer recommends taking apart the angle joints and greasing the gearbox (e.g. lithium grease).
- Walk the meadow before mowing and remove stones, wire and branches thicker than 10 mm.
- Drive a sickle bar mower at an even pace and do not stop in dense grass with the bar running.

Frequently asked questions
Which mower fits a WEIMA WM1100-6?
According to the product pages, the WMKM1100-6/10″, WMKM1100-6/12″ and the WMSM1100 sickle bar mower. Rotary for dense grass and scrub, sickle bar for hay from tall grass.
Does the WMKM900 fit the WM1000N-6?
The WMKM900 page lists only the WEIMA WM900M-3. For the WM1000N-6 choose the WMKM1100N-6/8″ or the WMKM1100-6/10″ and /12″.
How much meadow can I mow per hour?
About 0.15–0.2 ha per hour at 2–4 km/h, according to the product pages. It depends on grass density and terrain.
What is the difference between a rotary mower and a mulcher?
A rotary mower cuts the grass and leaves it in a swath, so it suits haymaking. A mulcher shreds everything on the spot and copes with scrub, but you cannot collect the cut grass.
Are the mulchers in this section mounted on a tractor?
No. The GWX460, GWX700, GWX700E and WMX663 are self-propelled machines with their own engine and gearbox.
