RURIS diesel two-wheel tractors
Romanian maker RURIS is represented here by two single-axle diesels: the lighter 651KSD for gardens and fields, and the more powerful 1001KSD for wide tilling and hauling. Both have a bevel-gear transmission with 2 forward gears and 1 reverse.
How to choose
- 651KSD has a 6 hp diesel engine, 800–1000 mm working width and 100–200 mm depth. Its ductile cast-iron housing adds weight (98 kg), so the tiller bites into the soil better. We sell it with a ridger, wheels and wheel weights.
- 1001KSD has a 10 hp, 408 cc engine, 750–1250 mm tillers and up to 360 mm depth. The maker states a trailer load of up to 1000 kg. It offers recoil and key start, an emergency stop lever and LED lighting.

Implements and oils
For both models the maker lists a plough, ridger, cultivator and trailer. Grünwelt SAE 10W-30 engine oil and SAE 80W-90 gear oil suit the engine and gearbox; quantities are in the manual. The MS-KRN-2V tiller and MS-KRN-2S rotary mower in this category are designed for Motor-Sich tractors.
Before the first start
Check the engine and gearbox oil levels, and in winter use diesel rated for frost. For the first hours, work at a shallower depth and without full load. On the 1001KSD, start with a narrower tiller setting on hard, unworked ground. Fit the wheel weights from the 651KSD set for ploughing and ridging when the wheels start to spin.

The 651KSD is enough for a garden and a smaller field. The 1001KSD has more power, a wider tiller and deeper tilling, and it pulls a trailer with up to 1000 kg.
Is a diesel worth it on a small plot?
If the machine runs only a few hours a season, usually not. Diesel pays off with long, regular work. More in the guide petrol or diesel.
