The AGF-240 slope flail mower is characterized by its particularly robust construction. In contrast to the lighter “AGL” versions, this is the heaviest version (greater material thickness, etc.) of this mower. An improved three-point hitch provides even greater stability. The Jansen AGF-240 features a specially reinforced angle gearbox. Thanks to the side offset, ditches, embankments, and similar areas can be easily mowed.

The AGF-240 model has a cutting width of 239 cm and is driven via the PTO shaft included in delivery. It can be moved left and right and tilted (up 90° and down 55°). For these functions, 2 hydraulic control circuits are required, as the mower is equipped with 2 double-acting hydraulic cylinders.
The cutting height can be adjusted via the side skids. The 24 specially hardened hammer blades weighing approx. 1.2 kg reduce the material to a minimum.
The double spiral rotor ensures even load distribution, very smooth operation, and long service life with significantly lower power demand. Even very tall grass, bushes, or straw are no problem, as the mulcher is equipped with 2 counter blades.
When fully extended to the side, the distance between the tractor center and the outer edge of the mulcher is approx. 329 cm. Further dimensions can be found in the drawings.
The Jansen AGF-240 is also equipped with an impact protection system. When it comes into contact with obstacles such as fence posts, it is triggered and allows the mower to swing upwards and backwards to the side, minimizing the risk of major damage.
In addition, the AGF-240 is equipped with a very heavy rear roller with scraper and a freewheel gearbox.
Pivot-mounted front flaps prevent stones from being thrown out. Transport wheels make maneuvering easier on flat, solid ground without attaching it to the tractor. The mower is mounted on a three-point hitch (from category II). The tractor should have at least 90 HP.
ATTENTION: The device is delivered well packed and disassembled in a wooden crate. For the final assembly you should plan about 4-5 hours. Included in the delivery is an instruction manual, as well as an exploded view. The assembly is usually no problem, however, it is recommended to perform the assembly with another person. A top link pin is also included in the delivery! The gearbox is dry and must be filled with oil (80W90, approx. 1 liter) before first use.
ADVICE: Due to the size of this machine, it is required that the customer provides assistance unloading the shipment, via a tractor or forklift of some kind.
