A tractor-driven pump turns your two-wheel tractor into a water pump: the tractor's engine spins the impeller and you move water from a well, pond or pool, irrigate the garden or drain a flooded cellar or plot. No separate engine and no extra fuel are needed. This section has two Grünwelt pumps with identical hydraulic figures; they differ in drive type and in the tractor they fit.
How to choose a pump for a two-wheel tractor
- Drive type: the GW-WP900 is driven by V-belts, while the GW-WP1100 mounts directly on the power take-off (PTO) shaft.
- Tractor model: according to the product pages, the GW-WP900 fits the WEIMA WM900M-3 and belt-driven tractors, and the GW-WP1100 fits the WEIMA WM1100-6 series with PTO. Check any other model by its drive type before ordering.
- Flow rate: both pumps deliver 36 m³/h, about 600 litres per minute, so the choice depends on your tractor, not on the volume of water.
- Suction and delivery head: up to 8 m suction lift and 30 m delivery head. The water level in the well should be no more than 8 m below the pump.
- Hoses: inlet and outlet ports are 50 mm (2 inch). Use a reinforced suction hose that will not collapse under vacuum.

Both pumps have a cast-iron impeller and an aluminium housing, and need no special maintenance. Before the first start, fill the pump body and the suction hose with water, otherwise the pump will not prime. Fit a strainer to the end of the suction hose so that sand and leaves do not reach the impeller. If you have no tractor or need a pump that works on its own, see petrol water pumps. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the GW-WP900 and GW-WP1100?
The water figures are the same: 36 m³/h, 8 m suction, 30 m head. Only the drive differs: the WP900 runs from V-belts (e.g. WEIMA WM900M-3), the WP1100 from the PTO of the WM1100-6 series.
Will the pump fit my tractor from another brand?
The product page confirms only the WEIMA models listed above. For another brand, compare the drive type and mounting; if unsure, call before ordering: +48 780 140 444 (Polish, Ukrainian, Russian).
From what depth can the pump draw water?
Up to 8 m vertically from the water level to the pump. A deeper well needs a submersible pump.
Which hoses do I need?
50 mm, i.e. 2 inch. The suction hose must be rigid or reinforced; the delivery hose can be a lay-flat type.
Can it pump dirty water?
It is meant for water from wells and pools and for draining flooded ground. Keep larger debris out with a strainer on the suction hose to protect the impeller.
