Jansen JX-72RS hydraulic-feed tractor chipper
The JX-72RS suits farms and contracting work where branches are processed regularly, without requiring the largest machine in the range. Fresh timber up to approximately 16 cm enters through a 91 × 70 cm hopper. The chipper requires a tractor from 55 HP, a 540 rpm PTO and category II three-point linkage. The PTO shaft is included.
Twin hydraulic rollers grip and carry the material towards the disc. Feed speed is adjustable, allowing thinner branches to move through quickly while heavier pieces are handled more slowly. A control bar beside the hopper stops or reverses the rollers if a branch enters awkwardly. The system needs hydraulic flow from 10 l/min and either a pressure-free return or a double-acting control valve.
The 72 cm disc weighs 96 kg and carries four reversible knives with a counter knife. Its mass helps maintain smooth cutting, while integrated vanes move the chips into the discharge chute. The chute rotates through 360 degrees, so material can be directed into a trailer or towards a selected pile. Discharge height is approximately 210 cm.
Day-to-day use
The hopper folds for transport, and the flywheel cover provides access to the knives. At approximately 695 kg, the machine requires a check of rear lift capacity, linkage category and tractor hydraulic performance before ordering. Maximum branch diameter always depends on timber species, moisture and shape.
ATTENTION: The unit is shipped well packed and partially assembled in a steel transport crate. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for final assembly. Given the weight, we recommend that assembly be carried out by two people. A German-language manual and assembly diagram are included.
